Hispanics are disproportionally affected by Alzheimer’s Disease in comparison to non-Hispanic Whites.

Unfortunately, there is a shortage of neuropathologists who are able to study this. This leads to a neuropathology analysis data bottleneck, which extends the research period that might lead to a cure.

Beta-amyloid protein pathologies are found in the brains of Alzheimer’s patients. Finding and measuring them may help us understand why this disparity exists.

There are 3 kinds of pathologies:

  • Cored Plaques
  • Cerebral Amyloid Angiopathies (CAA's)
  • Diffused Plaques
So we need to analyze tons of Alzheimer's patients’ brains... which you can help us do! Together, we can speed up Alzheimer's research and hopefully find a cure for the growing population affected by this disease.
